In October 2026, the total heat value of the overseas short-drama monthly Top 100 reached 338 million, up 5.87% month-over-month from September. Among them, 5 overseas short dramas exceeded 10 million in heat value, 2 more than in September; 10 dramas fell between 5 million and 10 million, 3 more than in September; and the remaining 85 dramas all landed in the 1.5 million to 5 million range.

Looking at the specifics, DramaBox's “Revenge Puck” retained the top spot with 15.543 million in heat value; QuickTV's “Shadi By Chance” ranked second with 11.347 million; and NetShort's “False Weakling, True Power” ranked third with 11.304 million.

Notably, this edition's chart shows the following characteristics:

First, the first and third places both match last edition — DramaBox's “Revenge Puck” and NetShort's “False Weakling, True Power” — reflecting the sustained appeal of the leading hit dramas.

Second, one drama held two spots in the Top 5: the sci-fi mecha-themed AI drama “Tempest: The Last Mecha” ranked 4th and 5th simultaneously, with its main investing platforms being DramaBox and Reelife respectively; the two spots combined exceeded 20 million in heat value.

By theme, emotional tags performed the most prominently at 38%, followed by comeback and revenge at 23% and 21% respectively, with other tags such as war-god, sweet romance, urban, and suspense also making the list.

Among new dramas, 11 new titles made this edition's chart, 4 fewer than last edition. Among them, the dual-lead emotional drama “The Pickpocket and the Billionaire” had the highest heat value at 6.357 million, ranking 10th.

The drama follows a street drifter named Liam who encounters billionaire Nathan and returns Nathan's stolen watch, earning a chance to start over. Nathan gives Liam a job, and as their lives gradually intertwine, a strong attraction begins to grow between them.

By main investing app, NetShort stood out, claiming 63 spots on the October overseas short drama Top 100, up from 54 in September and taking more than 60% of the chart. DramaBox, DramaShorts, and FlickReels followed with 9, 4, and 4 spots respectively, while QuickTV and Vigloo each took 3.

In October 2026, the total number of ad creatives for the overseas AI drama monthly Top 100 reached 880,500 sets, up 20.42% month-over-month. Among them, 27 AI dramas exceeded 10,000 creatives, 9 more than in September; 36 dramas fell in the 5,000-to-10,000 range, 10 more than in September; and the remaining 37 dramas all landed in the 3,500-to-5,000 range.

Looking at the specifics, DramaWave's “The Higher the Affinity, the Stronger the Weapon: 300 Spartans, So What” topped the chart with 49,118 creatives; the same platform's “Six-Winged Seraph (Dubbed Version)” ranked second with 29,760; and NetShort's “Ghost Bride Game” ranked third with 29,231.

Notably, DramaWave retook the top spot this edition and swept the top two positions. Its first-place drama pulled far ahead of the rest with nearly 50,000 creatives, forming a gap-topping lead. September's No. 1, “Fat Wife Turns Hot Wife, the CEO Begs for Reconciliation”, slipped to 7th place.

Among new dramas, 41 new titles made the chart in October, 6 more than in September. NetShort led with 19 new dramas, accounting for 46.34% of all new titles; DramaWave and FlickReels followed with 13 and 6 respectively.

Among them, the system-transmigration AI drama “The Higher the Affinity, the Stronger the Weapon: 300 Spartans, So What” was the new drama with the most creatives this edition, ranking first. It tells of a male lead who transmigrates to Sparta as an outcast and must choose three unwanted girls — only to find he has bound an affinity system: the higher the girls' affinity toward him, the more powerful modern weapons he unlocks.

By theme, emotional tags were the most prominent at 65%, followed by fantasy at 21%, sweet romance at 18%, urban and angsty romance both at 16%, and comeback at 11%, with family, gangster, and suspense tags also making the list.

By main investing app, NetShort remained far ahead, holding 54 spots, up slightly by 1 from September. DramaWave slid from 33 spots in September to 20, while FlickReels jumped from 5 to 18, becoming the fastest-growing product this edition.

The DataEye Research Institute believes: the overseas AI drama sector is gradually shifting toward a “one superpower, multiple strong players” landscape.

While NetShort firmly holds more than half of the chart, DramaWave's spot count is gradually declining and FlickReels has been rising recently — both sit at around 20 spots this edition. Notably, despite its slide, DramaWave still holds strong control over top-tier titles: in this edition's Top 3, the first and second places are both DramaWave dramas.

In October 2026, the total playback increase for the TikTok trending Top 100 dramas reached 8.844 billion views, up 4.27% month-over-month from September. Among them, 21 dramas exceeded 100 million in playback increase, 1 more than in September; the remaining 79 dramas all fell in the 59 million to 100 million range.

Looking at the specifics, Crimson Oath Theater's “I woke up to find myself transformed into a vicious, overweight woman” topped the chart with 300 million in playback increase; FrameSaga Theater's “Born Hot, Trained Cold” ranked second with 214 million; and VerveDrama Theater's “MY SON PICKED My WIFE” ranked third with 193 million.

Notably, this edition's No. 1 remained a plus-size-themed new drama, and its playback increase grew sharply again versus last edition's top, reaching 300 million — showing the plus-size genre's continued dominance on TikTok recently. The second-place drama was a fruit-AI-themed short drama. The fourth-place “Lipstick Heiress's Secret” is also worth noting: it is a “lipstick-person” title, similar to the fruit-AI model, transplanting real human emotional stories onto a lipstick-headed character.

Among new dramas, 67 new titles made the chart this edition, 4 more than in September. In the chart's Top 10, all but the 8th place were new dramas.

By theater account, Pure_Climax led with 6 spots; StoryTideMedia and AnimeFlux Daily each took 5; GuangzhouJianglan took 4; and VerveDrama and SparkShine each took 3.

The DataEye Research Institute believes the TikTok trending chart's theater-account landscape reshuffled again in October: AnimeFlux Daily, which led with 8 spots in September, fell to 5 this edition; GuangzhouJianglan dropped from 7 to 4; and Pure_Climax took over the lead with 6 spots. Meanwhile, as plus-size themes continue to dominate the top, new genres such as lipstick-person and giant matriarchal tribe have emerged.
